Welcome.....
My name is Cynthia A. Warren, MS., LPC., and I am a licensed mental health therapist in private practice in Germantown, TN. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety and depression, and I'm a Level II trained EMDR therapist. I have been in practice and licensed in both Ohio and Tennessee, for 23 years.
This is my professional site and includes information pertinent to my clients or anyone interested in learning more about EMDR, trauma, anxiety and depression. Though I do have specialties, I work with adults and young people who have a variety of diagnoses and/or issues.
My preferred method of treatment depends on the needs of the person I'm working with, but I do encourage my clients to embrace a more mindful way of being and living through regular meditation, and a variety of relaxation practices.
Lowering stress is key to dealing with anxiety, trauma, and depression. A few of the best ways to aid the body and mind during stress (which is much more often than we realize) is by developing your own regimen of regular meditation (guided or not), exercise, calming visualizations, and progressive muscle relaxations.
You will find more information on this website, and feel free to contact me at the phone number above with any questions.
A special note with regard to sessions and the COVID-19 virus: I am now offering remote sessions that include, but not limited to, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom or regular phone.
